Before teaming up to bring the magic of a starlit campfire jam to folks all over, T-Roy and Candace both had made names for themselves in their own separate arenas of Texas music.

T-Roy most recently as a prominent songwriter/producer but also as a multi-instrumentalist for an ongoing list of talent like Slaid Cleaves, Max Stalling, Mark David Manders, 1100 Springs, Brian Burns, and Kent Finlay. Many became acquainted with T-Roy at his popular music concert/campout, Pickin' in the Pines, which takes place at the Miller homestead in Pine Mills, TX, every May and September. All the people who have drifted through the pines over the many years that the event has been held have come away from the experience proud members of the "Pickin' Family" and sincere T & C Miller fans.

Candace Kunz-Miller was tearing up central Texas with her combination of home grown lyrics, powerful country-blues spiced voice, and propulsive rhythm playing when she and T-Roy met. Nicknamed the "Luckenbach Sweetheart" from her years of performing at and being a major part of the legendary Texas establishment, she is a hill country favorite. With her history as coordinator for music events abroad and open mics held at the Schreiner Coffee House in Kerrville, TX, for the Texas Heritage Music Foundation, she fits right in place as co-host of Pickin' in the Pines. She studied music at South Plains College and what she learned there only reinforced what she already knew: how to win the hearts of an audience while keeping their feet tapping.

Both T-Roy and Candace released CD's as solo artists before they married, and today T & C Miller have several CD's under their wedding bands. Their music is sometimes introspective, sometimes hilarious, sometimes spontaneous, and always charmingly honest.
